Data Colonialism and Data Protection Reform around the Right to Be Forgotten

The above chart shows the proportion of sources in a hyperlink network from different countries and regions. The network was created around a data protection topic, the Right to Be Forgotten. This image (and the related findings) were part of a conference presentation of my doctoral research, where I focused on the high visibility of colonial powers around this topic online–even when the topic was discussed particularly in the context of Latin America.
